Laura keeps the business of architecture organized.
Laura is logical, honest, and organized—all qualities we sought when searching for an accounting assistant. She did that for a few months, plus a bit more, and pretty soon we realized she was running the office’s administrative functions!
Laura‘s attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to tackle numbers head-on make her an ideal person to help our principal architect manage the firm’s day-to-today operations, including accounting and billing, contracts, human resources, event planning, and more. Her communications skills earned in a busy newsroom are also invaluable for supporting our marketing efforts, including website updates, press releases, blog posts, and proposals.
A lifelong Oregonian, Laura lives on a small farm, has worked in the accounting field, and is an active member of Central Oregon’s local food and farm community. She’s also involved in the newspaper industry and serves on the board of directors of Western Communications.
Her passion for all things local—food, business, civics, farms and more—provide her with a deeply rooted desire to better our firm and community. Laura graduated summa cum laude from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in political science and a minor in sustainability, with an inquiry and capstone track focusing on civics and leadership.
