Architectural intern Sara Laudenslayer has joined Ambient Architecture & Interiors, as a job captain. In this role, Laudenslayer will coordinate design staff and consultants, as well as assist the firm’s principal architects with project management.
Laudenslayer brings more than eight years of commercial and custom residential design experience to Ascent’s growing architecture and interior design team. After spending the first five years of her career in southern California, Laudenslayer moved to Bend in 2010. Her work includes public, residential, master-planning, healthcare and numerous commercial projects in California, Washington and Oregon.
She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-accredited professional for both commercial and residential projects, as well as an Earth Advantage Commercial Project Steward. She holds a bachelor’s of architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and is currently working toward licensure as an architect in Oregon.
“There’s no doubt that Sara will be a valuable asset to Ambient, considering her extensive experience in residential, commercial, LEED and healthcare design projects,” said Ambient Principal Architect Rachel Stemach. “We are excited about her joining our firm.”
