The High Desert Design Council (HDDC) has recognized Ascent Architecture & Interiors as the winner in three of nine categories at its fourth annual High Desert Best of Design competition. Ascent team was recognized for:
- Best Commercial Interior Design for Bontà – Natural Artisan Gelato Scoop Shop in downtown Bend, Jeff and Juli Labhart, clients;
- Best Commercial Remodel for the E.M. Thompson Building, home of Lark Mountain Modern, Scott and Karen Letourneau, clients; and
- Best Residential Architecture for the Mendell Residence with Urbane Building and Design, client.
Bonta Gelato’s interior team included Lynn Baker, NCIDQ, and Seth Anderson, AIA. E.M. Thompson’s team included Sara Laudenslayer, Assoc. AIA, and Travis Smith, Assoc. AIA, and Seth Anderson. The Mendell Residence was designed with owner and contractor Jason Mendell of Urabane Building and Design, and the team included Sara Laudenslayer and Seth Anderson.
