Shauna Walker is studying to become an architect at U of O.

U of O student Shauna Walker will spend the summer working beside Ascent’s architects, interior designers and design professionals.

University of Oregon student Shauna Walker has joined Ascent Architecture & Interiors for the summer as an architecture and interior design intern.

As a part of the Ascent’s inaugural paid summer internship program, Shauna is learning about all facets of working as an architect and interior designer, including design, materials selection, space planning and construction administration.

Shauna earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in interior architecture from University of Oregon this past spring and starts the school’s architecture master’s program this fall. While earning her bachelor’s degree, Shauna spent a summer studying interior architecture in Denmark. She also worked for four years as a student office assistant in U of O’s Department of Ethnic Studies and holds associate’s degrees in business administration and economics from Santa Barbara City College in California.

Shauna’s design interests include adaptive building reuse and sustainable design.
