If you like sampling food and beverages from some of Bend’s best local restaurants and helping feed the hungry, then you’ll love the Foodie Crawl! This annual fundraising event is hosted by Bend’s Community Center to raise money for its Feed the Hungry program. This year’s Foodie Crawl is the evening of Sunday, April 24, in downtown Bend, Oregon. The event begins at 3 p.m. at the Mirror Pond Plaza in front of Crow’s Feet Commons.
In addition to supporting this organization and program, the event is also a great way to try out some of Bend’s amazing local restaurants. This year’s participants include Bad Wolf Bakery & Bistro, Broken Top Bottle Shop and Rockin’ Daves Bagel Bistro at Bonta Gelato (check out the space we designed for Bonta while you’re there!), with desserts from Bleu Bite Catering, Cascade Catering Co. and the Cascade Culinary Institute Pastry School.
Food Crawl is part progressive dinner, part pub-crawl, with participants moving from one restaurant to another sampling food and drink. Chefs take this opportunity to show off a bit, meaning the food is really, really good! Following dinner, McMenamin’s Old St. Francis is hosting dessert, dancing and a silent auction, all to support BCC!
Access to shelter and food are two important causes for us, and sponsoring this event is a small way for us to help a local organization whose mission includes feeding those who are hungry. Tickets are only $75. To purchase tickets and take a sneak peek at the full list of participating restaurants, visit the official Foodie Crawl website.
