Plass Attends EDCO Luncheon

This month, Ascent Architecture & Interiors Interior Designer Trisha Plass attended the annual Economic Development of Central Oregon (EDCO) Luncheon where Keynote Speaker Pablos Holman shared his unique perspectives as a self-proclaimed “hacker, inventor, entrepreneur, and futurist” with Central Oregon professionals.

Trisha shared with us her biggest takeaways from the event. “I left the luncheon with some new perspectives. By embracing disruptions, relying on technology, and thinking outside the box, we can achieve real innovation. Pablos shared some remarkable examples of how big companies have achieved their success with this type of thinking. Facebook is the largest media owner but doesn’t create any content, Airbnb is the largest accommodation provider but doesn’t own any real estate, and Uber is the largest taxi company but doesn’t own any taxis. Pablos was an incredible speaker and I left feeling re-energized about the work we do here at Ascent to help Central Oregon business owners.”

Participating in community events like the EDCO luncheon helps our team learn about new perspectives and stay invigorated and ready to solve any sticky problems that may come up in the design process. Trisha serves as one of Ascent’s interior designers leading on Small Business Team, which offers our clients a streamlined tenant improvement process that can include space planning, guided navigation through the permitting process, branding services, and more. With outside-the-box thinking and creativity, continually cultivated through events like the EDCO Luncheon, Trisha and our whole team continue to deliver our clients the top service they deserve.
