Project Description

Bontà Artisan Natural Gelato, based in Bend, Oregon, is a creamery owned by Jeff and Julie Labhart. Jeff and Julie created Bontà in their kitchen, starting with the hand-crafted sugar syrups that flavor their delicious gelato. When the company outgrew their home, the couple hired Ascent Architecture & Interiors to transform an industrial space on Wilson Avenue into Bontà’s administrative offices, production facility, and tasting room. We learned their production process step-by-step (sampling some great product along the way!) to design an efficient and effective space for their needs, helped them through the permitting process, and provided interior design services, all while working within their budget.
