Federal Street ADU

Bend, Oregon

conceptual Design

588 sq ft

Project Description

The clients for this project own a small home in Bend’s River West neighborhood and wanted to build an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on their property. They required multifunctional spaces and maximum use of the limited footprint allowed by the City of Bend for an ADU. The resulting 588-square-foot home incorporates a full kitchen and bath and provides a multi-use living/dining area open to the kitchen, a small den that also serves as a guest room or TV room, and an upper-level loft and storage closet. Vaulted ceilings in the main living area help make the space feel larger than the actual footprint.

Outdoor Connection

An abundance of windows and doors provide a strong connection to the outdoors.
