Longhorn Acres Remodel

Project Description

This budget-conscious remodel updated the kitchen and added a master suite, entry and laundry/mud room to a 1970’s-era ranch-style home. The now four-bedroom home includes an open kitchen, dining room and living area centered around a wood-burning fireplace. Larger windows improve natural light within the home, while new siding, roofing and exterior details integrate the addition into the original home. The home also includes improved insulation and a new mechanical system, which maintained the home’s electric consumption despite a near doubling of square footage.

Metolius Inspiration

The client’s love of the Metolius River’s blue water and rust-red rocks influenced this custom-residential concept.
