Oregon Spirit Distillers
Bend, Oregon

Project Description
Ascent Architecture & Interiors worked with Oregon Spirit Distillers in Bend, Oregon, to renovate the former Habitat Restore building into a restaurant, tasting room, visitor-friendly distillery, and barrel storage. We developed a building layout that incorporated Oregon Spirit’s required spaces within the existing building footprint and worked with the client to provide the most efficient production space. To meet the client’s needs for barrel storage, we researched local code. Through our design and research, we developed construction documents for which we obtained permit approval. Exposed ducts, piping, and venting, along with metal display cases, give this space an industrial feel, while a natural wood bar and shelving warms the space.

Barrel Storage
Whiskey and bourbon love central Oregon’s daily temperature swings. Ascent found the building code path to allow the building to remain uninsulated.
Distillery
From the viewing window in the restaurant, patrons enjoy a full perspective of the distillery. The distillery was laid out for an efficient flow of raw ingredients through the process to the point of shipping.
