An efficient three-horse stable for a private equestrian property
Our architects designed this small, three-stall horse barn with with horse health and behavior in mind. Set on a private equestrian property in Central Oregon, this barn allows for apple airflow and natural light. Inside, the housed horses have a continual sight line between them, which supports their social nature and reduces the development of stable vices. The barn includes a heated tack room and grooming area, as well as feed and tool storage. The site design includes an outdoor arena, round pen, large communal dry lots, composting bins, grazing area, hay storage and a trailer loading and unloading area.
