HDDC Philanthropic Project: “Refreshing the House that Love Built.”
With interiors that hadn’t been updated in 17 years, the guest rooms at Ronald McDonald House of Central Oregon in Bend needed some TLC, and the High Desert Design Council stepped in to redesign and renovate each of the six rooms.
Ascent Architecture & Interiors, led by our interior designer, Lynn Baker, volunteered to tackle room #3’s bedroom and bathroom by participating in fundraising, painting the interior, and replacing bedding, décor, and lighting. Lynn selected soothing and refreshing colors, artwork and patterns. She also made light colors a priority, given the low light levels produced by the existing lighting and single window. New wood-look flooring is planned for future installation, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by December 2.
