Seth Anderson, AIA, LEED AP
Principal Architect
NCARB
Seth shows up in the office each day with the personal mantra, “do better.” As architecture evolves, Seth works tirelessly to evolve with it. He seeks out education opportunities like conferences and workshops and encourages his team to do the same. A firm believer in continually elevating and furthering the architecture profession, Seth serves as the President for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Oregon Chapter. Additionally, he was one of the first architects in the nation to apply the International Green Construction Code (IgCC) to a project.
Seth has grown a successful and award-winning firm that boasts a high rate of return clients and exceptional client service, as well as a skilled team of architects, designers, and interior designers. He has accomplished this by putting people over profits, and through leadership-by-example. In 2016, he was even a recipient of the AIA Young Architects Award. This dedication to his business and his craft sets an example that the entire firm works to achieve.
During his career, Seth has managed and administered projects, facilities, and developments with budgets up to $24 million and in excess of 140,000 square feet. His experience wheelhouse consists of senior living, multifamily housing, breweries and distilleries, mixed use, retail, office and governmental buildings, complexes, nonprofit projects, and campuses. His specialty interests include building-enclosure design and investigation; code compliance; and energy-efficient design.
As Ascent’s Principal Architect, Seth has overseen innovative projects like the award winning Worthy Brewing Company addition and “Hopservatory,” community strengthening projects like the Bethlehem Inn homeless shelter rebuild and Habitat Townhomes, and exciting projects like Conflux Brewery and the award-winning Oregon Spirit Distillery remodel.
Seth and his wife have lived in Bend since 2004. They have an adorable Corgi named Willow, who serves as Ascent’s unofficial mascot.
